In pursuit of a new standard for freshness, a small hotel in Ankapur Village, near Nizamabad town in the 1980’s has come up with a dish cooked using country chicken and fresh local ingredients. The country chicken sourced from Korutla is lean and feeds from freely found grains and insects. This is the key to the unique taste of the dish and of course, the right blend of the fresh local ingredients.

The country chicken is burnt on a low flame and marinated with freshly minced ginger, garlic paste and then cooked with onions, curry leaves, chili powder, coconut powder, and blending local spices in a certain way that gives a fiery and unique taste. Farmers liked the simple and hot dish. Gradually it became very popular that people visiting Nizamabad town, started visiting Ankapur village to taste the popular dish.

Telankhana Kitchen proudly brings this unique dish to the Hyderabadi food lovers. This dish was also part of the food served to showcase Telangana cuisine in the World Telugu Conference held in 2017.
